apologize to sb.给某人道歉,对某人感到抱歉 to是介词表对象,接 宾语
apologize for sth./doing sth.为（做了）某事道歉,为（做了）某事感到抱歉,for是介词表原因,
apologise to sb：向某人道歉【比小明我做错事了，跟你说对不起】
apologise for sb：为了某人而道歉【还是小明做错事了，妈妈代替他向你道歉】
to 向谁
for为了谁，意思根本就不一样，很容易区别。
