奥运羽毛球8名运动员因消极比赛而被取消参赛资格.
Four pairs of women's doubles badminton players,including the Chinese top seeds,have been ejected from the Olympic tournament for trying to throw matches in an effort to secure a more favourable quarter-final draw.
The Badminton World Federation,the sport's governing body,read a brief statement to a packed throng of media at the Wembley Arena venue for the sport,saying the players had been disqualified for breaching two parts of the players' code:"Not using one's best efforts to win a match and conducting oneself in a manner that is clearly abusive or detrimental to the sport."
The decision comes after the BWF charged the players,one pair from China,two from South Korea and one from Indonesia,in the wake of farcical scenes in the final group stages of the tournament on Tuesday.

I want to talk about Liuxiang. As we all know, he won the Olympic gold medal at Athens by the speed of 12'91, the first man in the chinese history. With his hurt at Beijing Olympics, he faded out from our view gradually. Especially after he droped out the competition several days ago, we all have some feelings about this. Somebody think Liuxiang cheated us while else take the point that Liuxiang is great as he insist on continuing the game with injured. Here, I want to say something that Liuxiang does not present himself alone, what he did is the dicision of the delegation hidden behind him. If we have to discuss, we should blame the delegation. After all, people in the river's lake, couldn't help it.
